The Combined Harare Residents Association (CHRA) is implementing the #3D (Devolve, Develop, Deliver) Campaign whose overall goal is to build citizen voice and agency in devolution implementation and alignment of local government laws. The campaign also seeks to coordinate the efforts of residents associations and other CSOs to contribute to and influence the content and process of the promulgation of devolution Bills. Within that context, CHRA is launching an online competition specifically targeting young men and women between the ages of 10 and 25 years to produce songs or skits that express messages on devolution, local governance and service delivery. The objective of the online competition is to solicit creative artists whom we can contract to produce the campaign songs and social media skits. Accordingly, CHRA is inviting interested youths within the stipulated age group, to participate in an online competition and get a chance to get a paid contract to produce the Campaign’s messaging songs and social media skits. Eligibility CriteriaHere is how you can be part of this exciting adventure: You must be between the ages of 10 and 25 years; Compose your own song or skit which expresses your views on devolution or local governance or service delivery; You are allowed to do this as a group if you wish and you may use your cell phone to record a video of your skit or song; Your skit or song should not be more than 3 minutes long; Send your song or skit to the whatsApp numbers indicated below. Voting on Facebook closes on the 19th of April 2021.NB. The earlier you submit your song/skit, the earlier it will be posted on Facebook and the more time you have to get likes!
