In a bid to escape the vicious cycle of poverty in their community, children in Marange have joined alluvial mining, which is the biggest source of livelihood in their area, a lot of school-going children now spend their time looking for the priced minerals, for young girls who would have otherwise been married off, this has become a source of livelihood.
